Porkchops!

Lola V is currently preparing some porkchops for dinner. Another few weeks of staying here and I’ll be overweight again. Anyway, I took the afternoon off from work. I started feeling a little light-headed this morning. To get to work, I took the FX (instead of the bus) because I don’t want to tire myself walking from Edsa to Tektite (where I work). The dizziness persisted after lunch and it actually became worse. I took a 15-minute nap but it wasn’t of any help. I just had to go home before I started emptying my stomach in the office.

Just an update. My last two visits to the cardiologist was really eventful. He had me undergo an ultrasound of kidneys, adrenals and heart because at my age to have high figures of blood pressure usually is caused by some kidney problems. Fortunately, it all came out almost normal. There wasn’t any alarming results. My kidneys are clear. It was almost perfect because the 2D-echo result reported that I have some respiratory regurgitation. The doctor explained that when one of my heart’s tubes pumps out blood, blood should normally get out. However, in my case, it was observed that blood is still getting inside. The doctor never mentioned anything to worry about. He prescribed a BP-maintaining drug I had to take daily for three months and then I’ll go see him again.

Hotdogs!

I am preparing hotdogs for breakfast. Ever since I moved here in Makati, I’ve been eating my breakfast almost everyday. My grandmother’s sister, Lola Vicky, always prepares them for us (me and my cousins). Also, it’s a Sunday and I am up early (as always). I always try to attend the earliest service in CCF. Speaking of Lola V, she isn’t home yet. She’s been gone since yesterday. Every Saturday, she goes to CCF to attend a prayer meeting and they’d stay there for a whole day with her fellow ushers. I hope she’s fine. She should have called to let us know where she is.

That’s it for now. Need. To. Prepare. Hotdogs.

Hypertensive

I have been diagnosed to have hypertension stage 2 this morning. I wasn’t even aware that hypertension has stages. Eeeep. It isn’t good, in stage 2 I may be given two types of medications (I googled it). I am aware of the first type, which is to take some maintenance drug daily — and they are expensive. >_<

I am scheduled for some lab works tomorrow — full blood chem to check cholesterol level and uric acid and some other stuff I didn’t quite get because I wasn’t paying much attention after the doctor started shaking her head due to her initial diagnosis that I have stage 2 hypertension. She even advised that I should take at least a day rest. After the lab works tomorrow, I will be having another round of consultation with a cardiologist.

After the consultation, I had a quick lunch then I went to work. In the office, one of my officemates remarked that I need to destress. The problem is, I don’t feel stressed or I may be stressed for too long that I am already used to it. Hmmm, but really, I do get tired so easily lately. Maybe it’s because of the recent move of location — I have to commute now and I am still not used to the place. I think it’s not work at all — I get bored sometimes and that’s not definitely stressful.

I hope the doctor will help me figure things out. Oh, and I have to cut on fatty and salty food… and beer too. Sad.

I am bothered because I think I am not giving this thing the type of attention it deserves. I feel like I should worry more. Well, I really should.

My cheapest haircut in three years

I had one 15 minutes ago at 50 pesos. And it ain’t bad.

Also, I’ve been busy at work recently. We have major additions to the product we’ve been developing for a little over a year now.

I am also starting to really dig MegaTokyo. I checked their site a while ago but I didn’t stay long, just because.
